Optimize crystal growth
1300 up to 1600 K is the temperature range in the heart of a furnace used to produce high-purity single crystals for semiconductor chips. Matheon researchers have created a virtual model for the furnace and the crystal growth.
A cut through the overall cylindrical furnance (left-hand side) and a zoom to its central part (right-hand side). In both cuts the left side shows the configuration and the right side shows the computed temperature field.
You can find more information about this research project on the right side as pdf download.
More highlights from Matheon research can be found in our booklet "Showcases".
